At NeatTyping, your privacy is our priority. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Progress data: Your typing scores, quiz progress, and game records are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Usage data: Anonymous page view analytics via Google Analytics and StatCounter to improve the service.
• Advertising data: Third-party advertising partners (such as Google) may collect cookies, device identifiers, and IP addresses to serve and measure ads, as described in Section 5.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display your personal progress and statistics within the application.
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve our tools.
• To fund the free service through advertising.

3. Data Storage

All user-generated data (scores, progress, preferences) is stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage. We do not operate any backend servers or databases for user data.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how our tools are used. This collects anonymous usage data only. You can opt out using browser extensions.
• StatCounter: We use StatCounter for lightweight aggregate traffic analytics.
• Cloudflare: Our site is deployed on Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Cloudflare may process standard request logs such as IP addresses, user agents, URLs, and request timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
• Google AdSense: We have integrated Google AdSense for site review and future ad serving. Ad units may be inactive while the site is under review. See Section 5 for details.

5. Advertising and Cookies

We may show a small number of clearly separated ads to fund this free service.

• When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve and measure ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) may enable it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Apart from the third-party services above, we do not set our own tracking cookies.

Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland): Personalized advertising in these regions will only be enabled after a Google-certified consent management platform is active. Once enabled, its consent message will let you accept, reject, change, or withdraw your choices.

6. Children’s Privacy

Parts of NeatTyping (such as kids typing games and kids memory games) are designed to be family-friendly. On content made for children, we do not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts and do not serve personalized (interest-based) advertising, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google’s policies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
